Laveno Mombello Villas Mf

The project concerns the demolition and reconstruction with extension of two Villas joined by a porch, located directly on Lake Maggiore in Laveno Mombello (VA).

The existing 1950s buildings will make way for two new Villas joined by the same porch present in the existing state, expanded from the existing ones. The park will also be redesigned, and a new swimming pool (infinity pool) and Badminton court will be built in it.

The most important feature of the property is the wonderful location close to the Verbano lake basin, which is inescapable from a landscape point of view.

Compared to the present white curtain, the project sought to differentiate the perception of volumes through the redesign and redistribution of voids vs. solids, of large windows vs. traditional window frames, of plastered parts vs. parts clad in Luserna stone.

The design study paid special attention to landscaping while respecting the view of the property from Lake Maggiore.

Building energy efficiencies will be improved in the intervention.
